Missy arrived at Kingston Animal Hospital in July 2015 as a stray. She was microchipped and every effort was made to contact her owner, but no one ever claimed her. It was soon apparent after Missy's arrival that she was not going anywhere and she quickly made the clinic her home. Missy is now a much loved member of the Kingston Animal Hospital family and she makes everyday life at the clinic much more enjoyable. She can sometimes be found looking out the waiting room window early in the morning, but spends most of her day sleeping in the Manager's in-tray or lounging on the tea room couch - usually at lunch time when she will get plenty of attention from staff on their break, and maybe a little bit of their lunch if she is lucky! She also loves getting some fresh air in her very own outdoor cat run.
Missy loves being the centre of attention but only if she is in the mood, and she will quickly tell you if she is not. She isn't afraid to stand up to any animal that enters her domain, she won't even back down to a Goat or Rottweiler. Missy knows there is always someone close by who will come to her rescue if she gets into a sticky situation.
Congratulations to Missy on being awarded the Tasmanian Clinic Cat of the Year 2016 in Dermcare's Clinic Cat of the Year competition!
